Cees T 7/10 - Better than Risky Business. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/24 Full Review Audience Member While elements of the plot & dialogue haven’t aged well, much of the comedy & drama surrounding McCarthy & Lowe’s friendship, as well as McCarthy & Bisset’s romance, feels sincere, credible, & even endearing. Many familiar faces here. #nitrosMovieChallenge Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/26/22 Full Review david f This Eighties film about two college roommates from different classes where one ends up bedding the other's mother is actually better than you might think it would be. Classic Rob Lowe and Andrew McCarthy. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie generally got bad reviews but I've always really liked it. I think Rob Lowe and Andrew McCarthy, Andrew in particular an actor I have never really liked all that much, have very good chemisty in this movie, and they both do an excellent job. Their fight near the end is one of the best fight scenes I've ever seen on film. It has a realness to it that makes it seem out of control and genuine. I think the sex scenes are also pretty good and steamy as all hell as well as sweet. Much better than the crap today. It's not a perfect movie, but it's fun, well acted and serious at times. Plus it has a lot of young actors who later became pretty big some you may or may not recognize. One of my favorite 80s flicks. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Rich S Class is a great primer for what practical jokes not to play on your roommate. It's also a lesson that sometimes the best joke to put over on your roommate is the one you didn't know you were playing. The watch-ability is still there because of the debuts of a few popular actors. The low points are many as director Lewis John Carlino handles the serious themes with the same farrier's hand that he handled the pranks. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/27/20 Full Review dave j Jonathan Ogner (Andrew McCarthy) is a freshman for an ivy prep school, and immediately becomes Skip(rob Lowe)roommate. Unbeknownst that the woman his new roommate had finally scored with happens to be Skip's mother, Ellen( Jacqueline Bisset ) Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
