I get how some reviewers give bad reviews because we really don't get to know the man that well, but the title of the film is the THEME of the film; it's about how Clive was the soundtrack of our lives, not who he was, and in that regard it delivers with flying colors. And actually, we do get to know him quite well, his drive, his passion, his unparalleled vision, and his uncompromising commitment to musical artistry. I was floored.

This extraordinary, must see documentary is a treasure. It gave me an in-depth look at the genius mind of Clive Davis, his life, his creative process, and how he started the careers of so many stars. He is the heart and soul of music! I highly recommend this purchase. -Washington Flowers

The Soundtrack of Our Lives is amazing on the big screen. It is beautifully done, well-paced and edited, informative, entertaining, and unexpectedly candid. Back in the day, I wasn't aware that Mr. Davis was the force behind some of my favorite stars--Aretha Franklin, Blood Sweat & Tears, Sly & the Family Stone, Earth Wind & Fire, Whitney Houston, and Luther Vandross. Now, I have a bigger story to accompany the music I still love; and, it makes me want to learn even more. Just call me a life-long finger-snapper! Frankie D
