Kelli B Just goes to show that film critics on this site are just stuffy no fun folks. This movie is goofy & stupid in all the right ways. The mix of all the SNL & SCTV people make this so enjoyable. Twiggy & Joanna Cassidy are great as levelers for the silliness. And Peter O'Toole & Adolph Caesar round out the cast with enough dry humor to make this a fun fun fun movie to watch when you just want something to turn off your brain & enjoy. No subliminal messages or deep meaning - just funny fun stuff. The IMDB Reviews are much more true to what the movie is than this site. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/24 Full Review matthias s Club Paradise takes you on a sun-soaked adventure that's hotter than a beach bonfire! With its palm trees swaying to the rhythm of laughter and the crystal-clear waters of comedy, this film serves up a tropical vacation experience you won't forget. The amazing cast, including Eugene Levy and Rick Moranis, are the icing on the vacation cake. Their performances add layers of comic flavor, making this a true holiday feast. With their on-screen chemistry, these actors create a beach paradise where laughter reigns supreme. While the plot may be as predictable as a sunset on the horizon, it doesn't dampen the overall fun factor. Club Paradise knows exactly what it is, a lighthearted escape from reality. And it embraces it with open arms. It's like taking a vacation within a vacation, where you can let loose, dance like nobody's watching, and forget about your troubles. So, if you're looking for a hilarious summer getaway without having to pack a suitcase, Club Paradise is the perfect destination. With its warm humor, beachy puns, and infectious energy, this movie will make you feel like you're on a never-ending summer vacation. Just remember to bring your sense of humor and leave your worries at the theater door. Cheers to a delightful and fantastic time in paradise! Well this is a rare one for Robin. But lets be fair and say that the colorful supporting cast helps makes this funny. Rick Moranis and Eugene Levy as the wanna be swingers are the highlight. Sheila Benson Los Angeles Times A frenetically unfunny and charmless movie. Jul 26, 2014 Full Review Carrie Rickey Philadelphia Inquirer What's fresh about Ramis and Doyle-Murray's brand of comedy is that they're not one-liner wordsmiths, they're social satirists. They find humor in the subversion of a stable social community. Rated: 3/4 Jul 26, 2014 Full Review Sid Smith Chicago Tribune The whole, crowded thing begins to resemble a low-brow Nashville. Rated: 2/4 Jul 26, 2014 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews A slapdash, mostly unfunny disaster... Rated: 1.5/4 Mar 1, 2020 Full Review Candice Russell South Florida Sun-Sentinel This is a case where the actors are only as good as the script, which isn`t saying much. It`s not long into Club Paradise when you may feel the urge to get out.
