Based on the popular board game, this comedy begins at a dinner party hosted by Mr. Boddy, where he admits to blackmailing his visitors. These guests, who have been given aliases, are Mrs. Peacock, Miss Scarlet, Mr. Green, Professor Plum, Mrs. White and Col. Mustard. When Boddy turns up murdered, all are suspects, and together they try to figure out who is the killer.

It's not the least bit scary or suspenseful but instead quickly grows tedious. The more you struggle to keep track of the constantly multiplying plot developments, the harder it gets to care who did it.

A very entertaining who dunnit. My advice is to not try too hard and figure out what's happening and just enjoy the ride. Rife with witty humor and great performances. Upon rewatch though it certainly lost some appeal for me.

a movie based on an incredible game that encapsulates the essence, silliness and fun of a murder mystery (party)! the characters were intriguing, the twists surprising up until the very end as well as the mystery behind every single thing that happened in that mansion! who? where? and with what? the traditional questions that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish, capturing the beauty of the 80s filmmaking while telling the story to be told! a great one <3
