Teacake (Joe Keery) and Naomi (Georgina Campbell), two young employees of a self-storage company built on the site of an old US military base, have their wildest night shift ever when a parasitic fungus escapes from the lowest sublevel of the base, where it was sealed by the government decades before. As the temperature rises underground, this highly contagious and rapidly mutating microorganism multiplies and unleashes its brain-controlling, body-bursting terrors on the facility's inhabitants -- human and otherwise. With time running out, it's down to Teacake and Naomi, with the help of a grizzled retired bioterror operative (Liam Neeson), to contain the merciless menace and prevent the explosive extinction of Mankind itself.

Romantic comedies seem harder than ever to get off the ground, at least on the big screen. Cold Storage, from British director Jonny Campbell, has an original solution: disguising itself as a splatter movie. Go to Full Review

It's very funny and very gnarly... It does what it says on the box. Go to Full Review

A clever, funny, suspenseful, interestingly cynical science-fiction horror movie with a great collection of monsters — courtesy of make-up geniuses Dave and Lou Elsey — and a cast whose enthusiasm is, appropriately, infectious. Go to Full Review

The creature designs unleashed throughout the movie are truly inspired, and the dialogue is zippier and quippier than many will have expected. Good gross-out stuff, this. Go to Full Review

Cold Storage is the kind of movie that ideally you’d stumble across at 2am on HBO, right when everyone at the sleepover was about to actually sleep, to keep everyone awake and giggling for another two hours. Go to Full Review

Cold Storage is actually a ton of fun, with the cheeky and occasionally violent vibe of an 80s horror-comedy. Go to Full Review

The Dude Mar 1 Utterly forgettable, boring story. See more Tom Feb 27 Reminiscent of the creature features of the 80s and 90s but with better production value. See more Dre Feb 23 Very funny with good pacing. A fun twist on a new zombie movie. See more David N Feb 22 Fun little movie with a good cast. It’s a horror/comedy that works well. See more Rodney Feb 22 Entertaining but forgettable. Easily overshadowed by older films that did it better. See more Jade Feb 22 It was so funny I was laughing out loud, and then it just has the perfect amount of creepiness and gore too. Loved it! See more Read all reviews
