Nick Schager Slant Magazine Copacabana proves that Isabelle Huppert can do anything, including starring in a trivial mother-daughter dramedy that's beneath her considerable talents. Rated: 2/4 Mar 22, 2011 Full Review Jim Schembri The Age (Australia) The film maintains an amiable and warm through line about Babou's desire to reconnect with her disapproving daughter, but the real joy here comes from watching (Isabelle) Huppert hustle. Rated: 3/5 Nov 24, 2010 Full Review David Stratton At the Movies (Australia) Isabelle Huppert creates an intriguing character in this film. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 24, 2010 Full Review Glenn Dunks Trespass The film finds occasional big laughs out of Huppert's observations of those around her and eventually warms the audience to this character. Sep 15, 2013 Full Review Elise Nakhnikian House Next Door A frothy fantasy dressed up as a quirky character study, Copacabana is a mishmash of mismatched parts that left me feeling a little queasy. Mar 30, 2011 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...entertaining yet far-from-engrossing... Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 28, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member The usual racist hints of the french frog cinema: foreign tourists are pigeons that can be ripped off, Brazil, a country with a rich yet complex culture, boils down to bimbos in string that dance by showing their buttocks. Pitiful display of stereotyped cliches to the xenophobic relent. To avoid like the plague. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Isabelle Huppert acts great, she is hilarious. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member beautiful movie, Huppert is great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Fitoussi and Huppert together make this low budget one a charm. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the handful comic roles by the absolutely fabulous Isabelle Huppert. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member i really badly affected by this movie!! i see her in my dreams ..told me to take it easy..i remember when i moved out from the theater after watching this masterpiece and i found four foreign girls dance happily with their cigarettes ..this was me inside to ..the movie could entered every one's soul and stamp "love the life" label!! Isabelle huppert rocks..her role Bobou made us love her..she is simple and she didnt give any attentions about the boxes people made for every thing in the society,,she was out of the box women ..could do what she meant without social boundaries ..she helped two poor married couples to just do it..this is humanity we can see without high soundtracks or tears as American movies show us !! a french movie i will never forget,,i hope i could draw character like Babou one day in an Egyptian movie!!
