Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online Entertaining, funny and surprisingly suspenseful a times, Coraline is the perfect movie for your little one...and for the child in all of us. Rated: A Sep 12, 2017 Full Review Tom Charity CNN.com Coraline never stops taking artistic risks. I hope there's a brave enough audience out there willing to take the plunge. Nov 17, 2014 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News All involved in this production deserve praise for turning Coraline into a triumph of storytelling and cinematic technology. Whether you're young, middle-age or older, you'll adore it. Rated: A- Nov 17, 2014 Full Review Collin Garbarino WORLD Coraline seems to have grown into an allegory that it was never meant to be. I honestly can’t think of a better analogy for our current algorithm-driven existence that promises to give us just what we want Rated: 3/4 Sep 10, 2024 Full Review Calum Cooper Cinerama Film Compelling, beautiful, dark, funny, horrifying, and everything in between, Coraline should be recognised for what it is: one of animated cinema’s greatest offerings. Rated: 5/5 Aug 24, 2024 Full Review Aaron Neuwirth We Live Entertainment This film is truly one of the best features ever to incorporate 3D, as it works not only on a visual level (it looks fantastic) but also on a narrative and thematic one. Audience Member What a strange exercise in brilliant stop-motion animation without any sense of satisfaction at the end! We are subjected to constant strange experiences without any particular purpose beyond visual sensations for their own sake. Despite its pretensions to having some sort of moral message, at the end this feels like a bunch of stuff that happened. Only worthwhile for stop-motion enthusiasts who want to learn effective facial expression-making. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/02/25 Full Review Tiffani L Amazing best ever so cool need 2nd Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/26/25 Full Review Paul S This movie was amazing! It's a kid's movie, but it was surprisingly dark and horrifying, but it made the movie so much fun to watch. I definitely recommend it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/18/25 Full Review Pedro Henrique C Coraline is an animation that doesn't hide what it wants, it has a very mature and serious story about wanting something better than what we have. This film develops its story and characters very well. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/18/25 Full Review Amari R Coraline is a absolute masterpiece, it’s a great movie and way better than home alone. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/10/25 Full Review john h Coraline has caused a wave of mixed feelings between critics and audiences, but it finally proves that sometimes critics should be more trusted than the audience. The passion of the making of Coraline has proved itself worthy of being listed as one of the greatest animated films of all time. It deals with simple but iconic characters and predicaments, themes of the importance of family, curiosity of children and bravery of parents and some of the most beautiful stop-motion techniques and imagery that you won't get anywhere else. There hasn't been anything like Coraline since and before its release. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/01/25 Full Review Read all reviews
