Well, the audience got this one right. I LOVE the period- I was in it. I didn't like most of the groups this dude backed, but it was a cool look at a time in history. The problem is it's too fleeting- with whipping from one errant scene to another. It lacks any kind of story, it's just some dude 'discovering' music acts and him partying. That's literally the whole movie. This ,might've been something really great in another persons hands- but this movie sucked- and I couldn't get to the end, tapping out after all but the last 20 minutes.

I don't think this is a good film at all, but Ewen Bremner as Alam McGee is so natural. I needed subtitles for the heavy scottish accent.

CREATION STORIES runs on its own jet-fuel, and is easily this years TRAINSPOTTING meets 24-Hour Party People, but in my opinion better. You can smell the fact that this must be an Irvine Welsh story. Dont listen to the naysayers, if you love movies about music like CONTROL, ROCKETMAN, BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, then you should enjoy this. I detest Brit-Pop, but the story behind it is a fascinating thrill ride of a different kind to all the other Rock n Roll/Music biopics out there. Somehow this one slipped silently under the radar, personally i thoroughly enjoyed it and glad i took a chance in it after reading disparaging Reviews that said it was awful. I disagree, see it and judge it on the actual story it shows.
