I honestly don't understand what these ridiculous critics expect from a light hearted, campy and fun Christmas movie. When I see ratings like this I'm indulged to believe that critics are inherently sad lonely individuals with some weird elitist outlook on the world. Christmas Vacation by this rationale should be 30% Ignore the reviews, great family movie where adults can laugh as freely as the kids. Cast is absolutely perfect with great chemistry. It's become a must watch at Christmas for us every year.

How did this moving get such low ratings?!! We laughed so hard ( not just me but my husband and my friend’s husband). And I cried at the end!! This was hilarious and fun to watch. I’ll let the one star folks watch their Godfathers and other melodramatic movies with lots of killing and whatever. But if you just want to have fun, laugh, and lighten the mood a little in the craziness that is our world right now, get out the popcorn and cuddle up to this movie this season.

Loved this!! Such a great watch. I loved seeing Mel back at it as Marks dad was so neat. The dynamic of Will and his father versus Mark and his is just super comical.
