A good attempt but just not quite there. Also at times a bit too vulgar with visual gags that would have felt totally out of place in the original series, which this is trying its best to imitate.

If you're a Dad's Army fan like me then you'll thoroughly enjoy it. The script lacks richness at times and the story is a bit weak, but I like Dad's Army so much that I just loved this tribute to the originals. Toby Jones is outstanding and really believable in the role of Captain Mainwaring and Bill Nighy is always a joy to watch, as is Michael Gambon. It's very silly but great fun.
