The actors, while B-movie grade, are still professional, and commit fully to the premise at hand. There's no attempt to try to make Giant Killer Ants more than it is, but there's also no winking and nodding at the audience, either.

Dead Ant is not quite the slam dunk it could be, based on its concept and cast. However, the faults don't deter from the sheer fun and energy of the production. Combine that with the very game cast and you get a recipe for a good time.

Dead Ant pays homage to the late 1970's films Empire of Ants, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, The Swarm, Kingdom of Spiders... just like Eight Legged Freaks did in 2002. ___________________________________________ - An ensemble cast where every actor fully buys in. Together they perfectly fit the crass comedic tone set by the bands Manager (Tom Arnold). ___________________________________________ - The audience reviews should be 2x higher. Anyone undecided on watching this fun popcorn flick - I guarantee any rating below 70% are people who Indy comedy horror movies on the same scale of a major studio big budget oscar nominated motion picture & legit compared the CGI Ants in this film to Caesar in Planet of the Apes. ___________________________________________ - Dead Ant 100% knows what it is meant to be & nails the assignment making great entertaining watch & for that it should be a 4 - 5⭐️

This was a satirical knock at killer giant-bug movies… and it was worth the watch. It was loaded with shameless tropes, which it used to comedic advantage. Among the shameless tropes were a stoic native sage; idiotic musicians; nature seeking revenge on disrespectful humans; and music saving the world. To add to the tongue-in-cheek motif was the final song: Side Boob.

This movie made me never want to see another movie again. It was that bad. No hyperbole or exaggeration. There was nothing redeeming about the plot, the acting, the effects...nothing. It made me embarrassed to be a human being. Is this seriously what movies have become? No talent, no skill, no fun, no humor. It made me wish the photography process and digital capabilities were never invented. This represents the worst of human beings and the worst of all that they represent. I weep for any person who found a single redeeming element to this movie. It really is that bad. Sorry.
