This is just shoddy, cheap, and never funny. Go to Full Review

The film is unapologetically "low art" ... yet fun, in its own way. Go to Full Review

This is the sort of effort that wears its cult movie aspirations so heavily on its sleeve that it they should bring back drive-in theaters to show it. Go to Full Review

The actors, while B-movie grade, are still professional, and commit fully to the premise at hand. There's no attempt to try to make Giant Killer Ants more than it is, but there's also no winking and nodding at the audience, either. Go to Full Review

If a collision between Spinal Tap and 1950s creature feature Them! sounds like a blast, then this big-bug brouhaha (with emphasis on ha-ha) should tickle your fancy. Go to Full Review

Dead Ant is not quite the slam dunk it could be, based on its concept and cast. However, the faults don't deter from the sheer fun and energy of the production. Combine that with the very game cast and you get a recipe for a good time. Go to Full Review

R J Nov 16 Dead Ant pays homage to the late 1970's films Empire of Ants, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, The Swarm, Kingdom of Spiders... just like Eight Legged Freaks did in 2002. ___________________________________________ - An ensemble cast where every actor fully buys in. Together they perfectly fit the crass comedic tone set by the bands Manager (Tom Arnold). ___________________________________________ - The audience reviews should be 2x higher. Anyone undecided on watching this fun popcorn flick - I guarantee any rating below 70% are people who Indy comedy horror movies on the same scale of a major studio big budget oscar nominated motion picture & legit compared the CGI Ants in this film to Caesar in Planet of the Apes. ___________________________________________ - Dead Ant 100% knows what it is meant to be & nails the assignment making great entertaining watch & for that it should be a 4 - 5⭐️ See more 03/21/2022 Not for everyone but this movie is hilarious. So sleazy and cheesy See more 06/07/2021 This was a satirical knock at killer giant-bug movies… and it was worth the watch. It was loaded with shameless tropes, which it used to comedic advantage. Among the shameless tropes were a stoic native sage; idiotic musicians; nature seeking revenge on disrespectful humans; and music saving the world. To add to the tongue-in-cheek motif was the final song: Side Boob. See more The S @The_Stranger 08/13/2020 This movie made me never want to see another movie again. It was that bad. No hyperbole or exaggeration. There was nothing redeeming about the plot, the acting, the effects...nothing. It made me embarrassed to be a human being. Is this seriously what movies have become? No talent, no skill, no fun, no humor. It made me wish the photography process and digital capabilities were never invented. This represents the worst of human beings and the worst of all that they represent. I weep for any person who found a single redeeming element to this movie. It really is that bad. Sorry. See more 03/18/2019 Nice to know the power ballad is not dead, FUN A-- FLICK! Hope there's a sequel. See more 03/16/2019 Look! We made a cheap movie and so we can do that cheap movie humour that doesnï¿ 1/2(TM)t really have a target audience! Ugh. Utter waste of time, literally.....there are certain scenes, like the drug scene, that just go on and in and in and I have no idea why. The cheap movie feel I refer to is a cop out for films like this......youï¿ 1/2(TM)ve been given a chance to make a film, so take it! Thereï¿ 1/2(TM)s no wit or humour, just loudness and repetitiveness and some vague notion that it is leaning towards quirky, but no, youï¿ 1/2(TM)re not half as funny as you think you are, and I just wish that up and coming filmmakers were given the moe y to finance their passion projects rather than movies of this ilk. Takes an age to get going, and the hook of the film is more interesting on paper than it is executed here. I love me some b movie nonsense, I really do (although not great, there is a lot more love and care gone into the other new giant ant film, It Came From The Desert) but this wink wink to the camera type of film, oh arenï¿ 1/2(TM)t we cheap and crazy and a rollicking good time even though there isnï¿ 1/2(TM)t any actual jokes in there, but boy are we loud and crazy and look! Bumcheeksï¿ 1/2(TM) type fluff shouldnï¿ 1/2(TM)t be celebrated. Give the money to proper filmmakers. And the makers of this: go watch Brain Dead, Return of The Living Dead or Tremors or something for how to do silly horror comedy. Those have jokes in! Crazy eh! See more Read all reviews
