During an exclusive tour, a power breakdown inside a secret prison known as the Death House sends two agents fighting through a labyrinth of horrors while being pursued by a ruthless army of roaming inmates. Death House unfortunately doesn't deliver. Its many references and horror icons don't contribute much to a story that is far too caught up in itself to be any fun. Its graphic and lewd nature don't much help either.

This strange, ambitious genre movie is notable for its huge cast of horror icons from the 1970s, '80s, and '90s, but it's more horrifying than scary and not always good, though certainly interesting.

The story involves a prison that experiments on their minds for research, the prison goes dark and inmates are freed from their cells, one inmate makes his way to find the "evils" and make his destination. The cast has a great deal of nostalgia Dee Wallace Kane Hodder Tony Todd Michael Berryman etc but the biggest down side is the structure of the story, it mixes with biblical and modern science in which you arnt sure what's really happening as far as plot goes. It's nice seeing our favorite actors from our favorite Horror films but they have only minor help in this. As we see the main character makes his way to the "evils" we don't see much action let alone see the studded cast face each other in battle. This film just doesn't have an exact destination and can be can be confusing as what it represents. Had we'd seen Gunnar Hansen's full vision than the re writes maybe it would shed light on a dark tale.

I thought this movie was brilliant. Lots of great actors put into one good violent movie about prison and serial killers. I thought this was a great movie definitely worth a watch

Great cast and potential. I wanted to love it but found it a little too confusing. There was too much crammed into 90 minutes to be fully developed.
