Taylor Gates Fanversation (YouTube) Just like the journey of anti-racism itself, the documentary is not a cozy watch, but it is a crucial one for the audience to which it’s targeted Aug 10, 2023 Full Review Alan Ng Film Threat Deconstructing Karen is an essential resource regarding the deep-seated racial divide here in the United States. Rated: 9/10 Dec 6, 2022 Full Review Nathaniel Muir AIPT A disappointing watch that seems more about promoting an organization that actual talk. The topics discussed are important ones, and in its best moments, the film may stir self-reflection, but it never has the focus required. Nov 25, 2022 Full Review Christian Gallichio The Playlist There’s a much better documentary hiding somewhere within “Deconstructing Karen,” one that perhaps only focuses on the dinner party and isn’t so completely aligned with Rao and Jackson’s point of view. Rated: C Oct 22, 2022 Full Review Stephen Silver Splice Today Resembles a conservative’s imagination of what they think 'critical race theory' is, more resembling a hazing ritual than the type of dialogue one might associate with reconciliation and understanding. Sean M This is an honest conversation of America's privileged caste's inability to introduce themselves to truth and reconciliation. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/24 Full Review Kevin D It was extremely funny and sad at the same time. Insightful and vapid. What I expected and puzzling. I laughed out loud through the whole movie. It's unfortunate that your money will go to the folks who made this movie, but it's worth a look to see what's happened to America. Have a chuckle and then put your kids in private school to give them a fighting chance to resist stupidity like this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/16/23 Full Review Bob J The people who made this likely have mental illness unfortunately. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/17/23 Full Review Obv P We all know Karens can't handle criticism. Narcissists? and they travel in groups. Obviously, Karen cult got to this page and gave it bad rating cuz they can't handle the truth. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/23/23 Full Review Nora M Powerful and well made documentary that highlights the white rage and fragility when white people are confronted with the fact that they are inherently racist. The movie achieves this goal not only from its viewing but by reading the harsh reviews by white male critics still living in denial. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/19/23 Full Review Adiaha F This documentary is brilliant! I read the book "White Women: Everything You already know about your own racism and how to do better" by Regina Jackson and Sahira Rao several months ago. This documentary is an important introduction to Race2Dinner and important discussions and data about the role while women play in supporting and advancing white supremacy. It's a must-see! If it makes you uncomfortable, then that may be a sign that you have room to grow and learn how to fight against your own internalized racism and white supremacy. I highly recommend this documentary and the book. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/04/23 Full Review Read all reviews
