The movie lacks all tension and suspense. Absolutely NOTHING engages the viewer or puts you on the edge of your seat. Interest is never piqued. Marfa suffers from a poor script, flat acting, bad directing, terrible editing and extremely slow pacing. The narration is particularly awful with a lack of contextual interpretation and the challenge of acceptable diction by the South African actor assigned the task of reading the words. There are a host of missed opportunities throughout the film. Production values echo of an extremely low budget, so you simply get what you paid for. The plot is easily predictable. You know, almost from the start, exactly where the ensemble is headed. There are much better ways to spend your time. SKIP this, unless you intend to academically analyze all the sour notes it hits.

Found this on TUBI. Was well worth the discovery. Felt like a stand alone Twin Peaks, with some well chosen locations. The cinematography was funky though, that's my only issue.

Crappy script, subpart acting, confusing, bad jokes and shotty camera work. What a waste of time. The lack of talent the director has is well displayed here in this awful film.

Cool sci-fi thriller with a slight 80's feel to it. You'll definitely want to watch it again, there's more than meets the eye. If you like the twilight zone you'll enjoy Destination Marfa. Hats off to writer/director Andy Stapp for the multiple awards and film festival selections.

This film was non conventional, it really felt more like an arthouse or foreign film than anything else. Kudos to the writer/director for his original idea. I remember traveling to Marfa several years ago and finding the locals and the art rather odd so I thoroughly enjoyed the journey of the characters in this. There was something 'Alpahville' about it without the noir or the action although Tony Todd and Stelio Savante carry that element very well throughout this film.
