Stephen S Hilariously bad but it passed the time Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/17/22 Full Review Audience Member I discovered this on the terrestrial channel Charge TV at 2 am, following a much better film, "A Fistful of Dollars." Starring Joe Lando from "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" & Nicole Eggert from "Baywatch" & "Charles In Charge," I already saw the opening scene w/ bad SFX. Expect the expected in any tornado movie that imitates but can't emulate "Twister." Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member This DTV movie follows a former storm chaser as he finds himself drawn back into the chase10 years after a storm, that has divided his family. In terms of story, DEVIL WINDS attempts to make things interesting, but struggles to really get the ball rolling. The film goes out of its way to keep things lively, but there's not really much going on. Even when the twisters themselves come into play. A couple of things struck me as odd. The first of which is how the tornado watch/warning system was played out here. The entire movie never once dealt with the idea of a tornado watch or remotely hinted at it. Even when there was a twister right on the front. There are also a few lighting scenes, that just struck me as odd. Particularly the lighting strike to the camerman early on and how he was seemingly hit, when it wasn't the camera that got hit at all, but rather the top of the news van. For Erica Durance fans, Erica is pretty much here front and center as the lead's daughter. She pretty much shines here for what's been given to her. There's a scene or two, that comes off as a bit awful in terms of sexual foreplay, but that comes at fault on the script. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member DEVIL WINDS A pretty decent story line. Fortunately, I do not live in Tornado Alley, however, the mystique surrounding these terrible storms is something which has fascinated me since I was a child. Here, all the special effects are too obviously computer generated, but with everything taken into account, this is not so bad. The lively what-if plot contained enough suspense so that it succeeded in holding my attention throughout. There were even a couple of edge-of-your-seat moments. The movie features a good cast, credible acting. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Not to shabby. Needs a little better graphics and better use of stockfotage. I belive this is a movie made for television. Low budget and yet entertaining. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member this is a awsome movie!!! i love movies about tornados!!!
