12/18/2024 This movie had great action! Great plot! The acting was pretty good to. See more 12/17/2024 Loved the action. I really enjoyed the characters. Loved the actors. I'm happy to see Ruby Rose is acting again. See more 12/16/2024 The variety of characters, fun acting, but serious topics makes it a blockbuster war film. If you miss out on Dirty Angels, you're choosing to let go of the story, which is about how hard people try to fight their demons. See more Jordan E @JordanElgrably Dec 31 I am surprised by the low ratings by critics and audience, but while watching the film, it occurred to me that some viewers might find the storyline and the granular details difficult to follow, between the Taliban, ISIS, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and all the divergent loyalties in the story. I found this film compelling, and especially appreciated Eva Green's intense, dedicated and nuanced performance. She genuinely seemed to have changed herself physically to become "Jake," an androgynous woman who fights with men as if being a woman were not a handicap. Other characters in the film also came across as gender fluid—not just Ruby Rose, who has made a career out of keeping us guessing (but is devoutly in the lesbian camp). "Dirty Angels" doesn't make stereotypes or one-dimensional characters of its Muslims; "Abbas" may be a horrible driver, but he's a topnotch fixer, and apparently, vocalist, according to his devoted brother Malik.
