Penelope L You must see Distant Tales. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Shem Bitterman's vignettes are moving, funny, poignant stories with some great unpredictable twists. None of them really registered with me -- until DISTANT TALES. Genuinely clever all down the line, with performances that're knockout memorable, this drama-centric anthology showcases a surfeit of fascinating-characters-interacting-exclusively-via-the-internet (and situations, too, that are surprising, revealing, and involving). The actors help elevate the script, though the writing between each story is not created equally. Thankfully none of them felt longer then they needed to be, and even if one isn't to your taste, there is still a chance for a different one to resonate with you.
