torb m Girlfriend made me watch this thinking it was good since it has high audience score. Go watch paint dry for an hour. It'd be more entertaining Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/22/23 Full Review BQF P I thought it was a cute and entertaining movie and i was surprisingly engrossed throughout when I thought it would just be some background noise while I did other things. The acting and chemistry between the leads was really good - at least a step or two above a lifetime movie. The writing could have been better but I laughed out loud a few times and it was well acted enough that it made up for some of the plot missteps. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/10/23 Full Review Dale R Although I found the chemistry between the leads enjoyable, I felt that the storyline and writing fell short of my expectations. The plot seemed rushed, lacking the psychological thrill that I had hoped for. Despite this, I believe that Ms. Leslie has the potential to become an exceptional action star and maintain her position as a strong lead. I am confident that with better writing and direction, her talents will shine even more brightly. Noel Murray Los Angeles Times This is a picture that could do with a little bit of scenery-chewing and a whole lot of sensationalism — anything that would make its middling mystery plot more exciting. May 5, 2023 Full Review Abbie Bernstein Assignment X In the end, Double Life doesn’t live up to the potential of its premise. Rated: C+ May 15, 2023 Full Review Jeffrey Lyles Lyles' Movie Files Double Life tries to be a competent mystery thriller but fails to overcome its made for Lifetime premise. In fairness though a decent amount of Lifetime movies pack more thrills and suspense than this credibility-challenged effort. Rated: 4/10 May 10, 2023 Full Review Jared Mobarak Hey, Have You Seen ...? The stakes never rise high enough to wow the audience, but it's a decent option for escapist melodrama on a rainy day of channel surfing. Rated: 6/10 May 5, 2023 Full Review Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion Despite the title, it's lifeless....To reveal how it all turns out would be a spoiler if there were anything to spoil. Rated: D+ May 5, 2023 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru Convoluted, clunky and increasingly implausible with waning suspense and poor use of exposition. May 4, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
