Blu B It's a 90's direct to video tape type of action movie and another one of Snipes dumb action movies. In a sense it's a so bad it's good type of movie or so bad it's you have it on in the background type of flick. It's completely mindless, over the top, ridiculous, and SUPER dated. It ozzes late 80's-early 90's at the seams in every aspect for better or for worse. Besides 90's nostalgia I really struggle to find a reason for someone to watch this because there are sooooo many better action movies from this era and works by Snipes and the director. Fundamentally the pacing & acting are terrible the entire way. This never stops throwing nosense, acton, farfetched scenes, and dumb annyoing one dimensional characters at you. The dialouge is filled with one liners, trying to sound hip and cool, and just cheesy over the top moments. This has no buildup. It just goes straight to action. Imagine Die Hard if we didn't have any of the slow character development moments and suspense buildup and just the 25 minutes of action basically. That's this. Everything else isn't good. The music is soooo early 90's and reminds me of the Lethal Weapon movies. It's way too over the top and used way to much though and starts to become annoying. The skydiving stunts are cool but they just get so repeititve and are used in farfetched over the top ways. Once you've seen one over the top dumb skydiving scene you've seeen the other 30 this has. This is basically a skydiving movie with Snipes learning with the forgettable support characters he "bonds" with. and Busey's character doing some kind of complex computer heist in a skyscraper movie which feels like two completely different films and gets so convuluted. I genuinely could'nt tell you what the actual plot of this was for him to steal hack with Jeter's character and why snipes needed to skydive to stop this. It's just an excuse for dumb action and one liner moments galore. Skip This. Leave it in the 90's where it belongs unless you grew up and saw it I guess. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/12/25 Full Review Nathan R Nostalgia fest for sure! Are there cheesy one liners and 90’s Hollywood action film stereotypes? Yes, but that’s kinda what makes it so good. It’s unapologetically a 90’s Action/Drama film that delivers on excitement from the skydiving scenes, fight scenes and a great performance from Wesley Snipes and Gary Busey. Definitely watch this one! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/25 Full Review Jamie T Always loved this film. Wesley Snipes at his pomp. Musical score will play in your head for years to come. Great idea and executed well, good characters and easy to watch. A solid go to from me, when lost for choice. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/24/24 Full Review Cody W The incredible flying sequences in DROP ZONE are definitely worth watching, and the stunts are literally off the charts. To be honest though, I just wished it would be a little longer. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/02/24 Full Review isa e Was fun, but far fetched, poorly acted but still worth a watch on a free streaming sites, action is good and well crafted Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/14/24 Full Review John A A completely forgotten 90's romp centered around a down-on-his-luck cop type learning to skydive. Wesley Snipes was perfectly cast here. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/24 Full Review Read all reviews
