Richard Brody
The New Yorker
With his blend of delicate understatement and raucous spontaneity, Rozier may be the most secretly influential director of the era.

OK, so it's 1969 not 1996. Thank you Flixter for your big mistakes!
Basically, nothing happens in this movie. It's quite intimist. But it's meant to be so.
You enjoy watching three lovely French women not that beautiful but oh-so-charming holidaying somewhere on the West Coast on a desert beach till the manager of one of those girls pretends he lost himself in the county to find her. He has a crush on his charming employee who cannot stand him. But nothing happens, except that he finally leaves the beach house, frustrated.
The movie is post-produces by Agnes-b, a French fashion designer whose style is exactly the same old 60's trends seen in the movie. It's a delight if you're a fashionista or a Francophile.
But it's 2 hours long.
