Tom Keogh Seattle Times The series' good-natured, self-deprecating extended joke about male regression, handyman incompetence and Canadian humility are here in big-screen proportions, and it all works very well. Rated: 3/4 Oct 25, 2002 Full Review Adam Nayman eye WEEKLY Smith forgot to include any of the subtle, language-based comedy that marked his career as an author and stand-up comedian, so that all we're left with are obvious sight gags and laborious moments of slapstick carnage. Rated: 1/5 Apr 15, 2002 Full Review Peter Howell Toronto Star A pretty solid movie ... one that should amuse casual admirers (present company included) while delighting the rabid fan. Rated: 3/4 Apr 12, 2002 Full Review Emanuel Levy EmanuelLevy.Com Rated: 2/5 Aug 15, 2005 Full Review Ryan Cracknell Apollo Guide The saddest thing about Duct Tape Forever is the fact that it's a sign of the direction commercial Canadian cinema is going: cheap comedies with name-brand appeal. Rated: 51/100 Feb 1, 2003 Full Review Mark Palermo The Coast (Halifax, Nova Scotia) The movie offers more corniness than laughs, delivered with a visual-drabness that fails to justify its packaging as a theatrical film. Audience Member Expect "smokey and the bandit " stuff. Stupid bad guys, innocent good guys getting over on the over the top sheriff. Duc(k) tape solves every problem. If it moves and it shouldn't, use "the handy man's secret weapon". (if it doesn't move and it should, use wd40, but that would be another movie). Fun and be glad you sat thru it to see the IMMENSE (!) projects in the contest. 3M is proud..... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review steve d It works just as well as the show. If you are a fan you will love it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I love "The Red Green Show," and if you like it, you'll like the movie. Unfortunately, it's not a well made film. Much like one of Red's world famous handyman inventions, it's cheap, shoddy, and looks like it was tossed off one Saturday afternoon. But as I said, if Red and the rest of Possum Lodge make you laugh, you'll enjoy what's offered here. (Fun fact: the dismal failure of this movie at the box office became a running joke on the show. After building an entertainment center out of an old refrigerator, Red said "Something stinks in here," opened up the crisper drawer where his DVDs were stored and pulled out a copy of "Gigli." He looks to the camera and grimly quips, "I was afraid it was 'Duct Tape Forever.'") Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member don't care whatever anyone says about red green they are funny Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I think the biggest problem this movie has is that it's actually about Harold, and Red Green almost gets pushed to the side. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Watched February 2004 Almost mediocre, but fun for the first time.
