London Evening Standard What a shame the ending is predictable. With more care, this could have been a contender. Rated: 3/5 Jan 25, 2013 Full Review Chris Blohm Little White Lies The King of Pigs rules. Rated: 4/5 Jan 24, 2013 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian A strangely gripping and upsetting movie. Rated: 4/5 Jan 24, 2013 Full Review Mat Brunet AniMat's Review (YouTube) Im not gonna lie, this is one of the darkest, depressing, brutal and most disturbing animated feature Ive ever seen. And yet, going through that whole experience was honestly worth it. Rated: 9/10 Mar 12, 2022 Full Review Panos Kotzathanasis Asian Movie Pulse "The King of Pigs" is an impressive debut and a great combination of social critique through an exploitative, but realistic setting. Sep 27, 2020 Full Review Ben Nicholson CineVue The King of Pigs throws an awful lot at the audience, though without providing much reason for it to stick in the memory. The animation is also somewhat of a mixed bag. Rated: 2/5 Feb 8, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member This movie is really good it'll leave you with a lot of questions about your life but the animation effects pretty bad. But for me it gives you what this movie is all about Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member A strange and different story for sure..but gripping all the way...leading you to a completely unexpected path ! Very well directed and edited ! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Intense, bleak and downbeat Korean animation positioning the issue of bullying in schools within the broader context of rigid social hierarchy and class struggle- portraying the life long scars that can result from such trauma Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Just a good story with interesting animation, but nothing more. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member A heavy story for an animated film, and doubly so if you have to read the subtitles. Some of the adolescent nuances in the animation are very good. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Intense Korean animation. Was left feeling emotionally drained. :P Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
