chow d good for a action movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/13/23 Full Review ARCHUNG Earth and Blood is a French action-thriller movie that fails to impress. The movie follows the story of Saïd, a sawmill owner who becomes embroiled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with a group of ruthless drug dealers. The film's biggest flaw is its lackluster screenplay. The plot is predictable and clichéd, and the characters are underdeveloped, making it difficult to connect with them. The pacing is slow, and the action scenes, while plentiful, are poorly choreographed and lack intensity. The performances of the cast are decent, but they are let down by the weak script. Sami Bouajila, who plays Saïd, delivers a convincing performance, but his character lacks depth or complexity. The villains are also one-dimensional, and their motivations are never fully explored or explained. The movie's saving grace is its cinematography, which is visually stunning. The use of natural light and the forest setting create a moody and atmospheric backdrop that adds to the film's overall tone. Overall, Earth and Blood is a disappointing movie that fails to live up to its potential. It lacks originality, depth, and excitement, making it difficult to recommend. While the cinematography is impressive, it is not enough to save this lackluster film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/11/23 Full Review Yvonne T Nice film. I like it. Peter Bradshaw Guardian It feels like the truncated version of a much longer and more thought-through film. Rated: 2/5 Apr 17, 2020 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies Leclercq knows his way around with the camera, and Bouajila’s sturdy lead performance provides us with somewhat of a rooting interest. But so much of its story seems to be missing, and its characters never get the depth they desperately need.
