Critics Consensus

This homage to the B-movies of the '50s has a promising first half, but runs out of ideas in the second.

Jacob B A charmingly silly creature feature, Eight Legged Freaks [sic] might not reach the cinematic perfection of something like Tremors but it does have a few good quotes, funny moments, surprisingly awesome scenes of people facing off against the titular freaks and knows exactly what kind of movie it is. I'm sure I'm not the first to say this quote but what the hell, I'm too amused by it to pass it up: my second-favourite arachnid-based film from 2002. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/28/24 Full Review Sabi A This is a cult classic. It’s so bad it’s GREAT. I personally love the movie that it’s one of the few I bought. I love a good giggle and this movie is just that. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/15/24 Full Review This Old G Not a great movie but a fun little schlocky homage to the '50s sci-fi horror films. Self-aware enough to just get by Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/09/24 Full Review Frank B I love good spoofs with humour...i liked it so much I bought it. This so well done the critics won't like it. The characters do a great job spoofing 50's horror film with a twist of humour. Worth watching...enjoy Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/29/24 Full Review Tony L I remember wwatching this when i was young, it was really good Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/06/24 Full Review Read all reviews
