06/03/2013 This Oscar winning documentary profiles the First Lady and humanitarian crusader. While I admit that I learned a lot I never would have known without this film, I nevertheless think this film is merely propaganda. It lauds Roosevelt incessantly, and the few criticisms it levels are quickly tempered. Overall, this feels more like a eulogy than a documentary. See more 07/17/2008 Eleanor was a fascinating woman, but this was shot too close to her passing to have any real insight into that fact. I much prefer more recent documentaries on her life. See more 11/05/2007 Excellent documentary about a fascinating woman in American history. Well made, great narration and great film clips, well edited together. Always interesting and it gives the viewer a deep understanding of Eleanor Roosevelt. See more 06/09/2007 This movie had potential, but fell through the cracks. To bad. See more Read all reviews
