If you don't expect anything groundbreaking or dramatically dynamic, you'll probably have just as much fun watching Enemies Closer as Van Damme, playing a total fruitcake of a villain, clearly did making it.

This movie was definitely a treat with reuniting Director Peter Hyams (TimeCop, End of Days, Sudden Death) and Jean-Claude Van Damme together again since 1996's Sudden Death. This time around JC takes on the role of the bad guy which his performance gave me heavy Heath Ledger Joker vibes, Enemies Closes is entertaining and thrilling. Orlando Jones and Thomas Everett Scott were also great in this, overall this film was fun and awesome!!

One of worst movies I have ever seen. Lot's of mistakes in the plate. Van Dame looks very old and stupid. His French would get him beat up if he spoke like that in France - sounds like he has a lisp. More likely he is just mentally unstable - as he got older. Way too old to be acting anymore

I just cannot in good conscience recommend this film. It is just plain dumb. The plot is dumb, there are major gaps in logic and motivation... just dumb. I had to double take on the Orlando Jones thing. It took me 20 minutes to accept he was in a serious role. Well, seriously dumb. The other male lead was fine, but seemed totally miscast. He struck me as being an extra from some rom-com as opposed to an action star. Van Damme on the other hand, just completely hammed it up with an over the top crazy Tommy Lee Jones impression with an eco-terrorist bent and Joker hair. I wouldn't say his character was great or anything, but if you like Van Damme, you probably got your money's worth.
