TERRIFIC DOC ! fascinating long career of important composer. It was a bit long, but I loved the intimate style, learning about the intensity of collaborations, and hearing so much Italian !

Loved it! Made me want to go right home and watch "The Legend of 1900" and "The Mission" again. My husband's first choice would be "Cinema Paradiso". And I loved "The Untouchables". What a giant he was!

5 stars for Ennio himself, 3 stars for the documentary = 4-star review. Truly an incredible talent. The sounds he hears and transcribes -- no piano, just straight from his head -- make it undeniable he’s a special musician. Bold, clear vision. A remarkable artist. The doc unfortunately is quite a chore to make it through, though. I get that his work deserves space, but 2.5 hours of examples of his greatness is a bit much.
