The plot starts off as interesting, but quickly the story goes off the rails and the story goes all over the place with a silly story to tell. The CGI was awful and the bad acting never proved to be convincing which is why the original eraser film never needed a sequel and this film proved to be a waste of viewing time.

Reborn feels like a writer who said I am smarter than those who wrote the original. The story is mostly the same but changes enough elements to be clearly different yet every beat will make someone who has watched the first go, oh ya there was a scene like that. However where Eraser was cheesy and fun and over the top Reborn tries to be cold and cool. You can see as the movie progresses how they have to fit in more and more to try and get the needed scenes to evoke the old movie and quite frankly it just detracts from it. If you are bored or curious how a fight in a New York city reptile room with a croc can turn into a chase outside Capetown with a pet hippo check it out otherewise there are a lot better movies for your time

Movie was a classic action movie unpretentious. Until "do you swear to protect the constitution of blablabla...". Told to the girl, witness, lied to him, steal from husband criminal boss, all dying for the lie. Another inappropriate patriot fanatic sentence. Movie suddenly lost its charm.
