Bill Stamets Chicago Reader Despite Broomfield’s insistence on access to the inner sanctum of Pandora’s Box, he never has enough nerve or imagination to join in the role-playing. Audience Member Honest, slightly brutal- overall a playful history of the Fetish world. Broomfield presents to us a candid memoir, for a whole 'other' sexual dimension. ...my favorite part is the infantilism segment. Amazzzzzing! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Best off as a one off on C4. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member These people are crazy! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Documentary filmmaker Nick Broomfield is given access to one of New York City's largest BDSM community playgrounds aptly called Pandora's Box but only manages to scratch the surface (no pun intended) of what makes these unique men and women tick. While the film succeeds at proving eroticism is in the eye of the beholder it will likely only engage those same aforementioned audiences. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting, yet the director has a clearly biased attitude. He spends most of the film trying to get the Mistresses to admit their aversion to men and "obvious" Lesbianism. He is ignorant beyond words and the questions posed are both leading and male-centric. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member At times, made me highly uncomfortable, which I love. Available on Hulu Plus; check it!
