Ted B 3.0 stars. Yes, I guess you could say that from the perspective of 60+ years since this movie was released, it is quite cheesy. The acting was subpar, and the plot was fairly typical of 1950s sci-fi flicks. I did like the creepy touch of keeping the monsters invisible until the very end. For its time, the stop-action special effects were pretty good. Also, the thought of creating creatures from a mind control ability was pretty terrifying. This trope was also explored in the movie "Forbidden Planet". Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/13/24 Full Review NiB Y A little better than the average Creature Feature from it's time due to it's impressive special effects. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/03/24 Full Review Liam D While it's very short, full of disposable characters and poor writing the monsters and stop motion effects are surprisingly good. An very decent entry into the 50s Monster Craze Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/13/24 Full Review Ogn D deleted ................................................. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Watchable nonsense. Cheesy, surprisingly gory, with an attractive lead girl that helped hold my attention. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/25/24 Full Review Christopher B Overall, Fiend without a Face works as a 50s science fiction film that at times may be a little cheesy or far stretched, works. For the time, and on a tiny budget, it is a successful creature film with some amazing stop animation. If you're into older sci-fi, you'll find yourself eating this up.
