British by birth, director Arthur Crabtree made himself into a staple of cinema. In 1931, he received his first screen credit in "Out Of The Blue." In 1945, he made his directorial debut with "Madonna Of The Seven Moons." Crabtree worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "The Man in Gray" with Phyllis Calvert (1943). he followed in the fifties directing "Ivanhoe" (1957-58). Later in his career, Crabtree directed "Horrors of the Black Museum" (1959). Crabtree passed away in March 1975 at the age of 75.
