As bizarrely hilarious as it is insightful, Finders Keepers is a stranger-than-fiction gem of a documentary that transcends its oddball trappings.

Emma S 11/11/2024 Finders Keepers" captures the thrill of a bizarre, quintessentially American story, making for an unforgettable viewing experience. The documentary's strength lies in its objectivity—it doesn't try to impose any particular viewpoint on the audience, allowing us to draw our own conclusions about the events and people involved. However, the sadness of addiction and unresolved grief looms large. It’s heartbreaking to see the lack of empathy for John Wood and the way his struggles are overshadowed by spectacle. This story is a reminder of how deeply addiction is woven into American society, often fueled by unprocessed grief. A captivating yet poignant documentary that lingers with you long after the credits roll. See more 02/26/2021 Bizarre story. Not sure why it was made into a documentary. See more @c0urtn3y 08/25/2020 i mean... what a ridiculous story, lol. i can't believe this actually happened. honestly, the guy who "bought it" should've got to keep it. how do you just "store" your own severed leg in a grill & then forget about it. i mean, good grief. See more 05/08/2020 I stumbled across this gem late one night and all I could think as I watched was "wow, how have I not heard of this". I am a NC native and at first I feared this was just another rednexploitation job to make my home state look like the land of the toothless hillbillies. While it does have some of the aforementioned, it also has a much more gripping and introspective side as it delves into the human condition and a kaleidoscope of real emotion. This doc sounds like a one trick pony, like it would be one long drawn out joke over the "foot feud" but it is much more. Once you start you won't be able to look away.
