      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

The rebellious protagonist will rally girls and children, but adults may find Flicka saddled with thin characters, over-the-top dialogue, and a plot that wanders into the countryside and never comes back.

Armando G An impactful story, but the character dialogue was corny. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review steve d There are no surprises here but the film will entertain, and the cast is strong. I appreciate the changes to the story. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review lanfranco c A Mustang and a Cow Girl ! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Flicka in my opinion this is one of the best movies since it contains everything, a good plot, good handling of the story and without neglecting the landscapes and the beautiful horses, I really recommend this film to all those people who like horses and even those who are not like and who are afraid of these animals, since they will be able to see the loyalty and love that they can have towards a person. It has a very good message that leaves you thinking and analyzing why you can even apply it to your life and not just because you are in that environment but in a similar situation. watch it and pay attention to all the details, you will not regret it. Toddy Burton Austin Chronicle Ultimately, the entire endeavor seems like an effort to cash in on a predictably bankable tale. Rated: 1/5 Oct 30, 2006 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com Would I pay to see it? No, probably not, but then I'm not a 12-year-old girl or the parent of a young child. Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 26, 2006 Full Review Richard Roeper Ebert & Roeper It's got lovely vistas, and earnest performances, and Allison Lohman... is very believable.
