La Nerek G 10/13/2024 a beautiful film that knows how to deal with difficult topics See more 02/11/2014 That was rather depressing but interesting. See more 06/19/2011 Took me forever to get this movie! Such a nice movie. It was Norman's first role and he was really good! Heartfelt, very realistic, well shot and directed movie. Glad I finally saw it. See more 06/09/2010 The acting is gorgeous here, I can see why Norman Reedus got so much attention for it. The story is quite understated, more subtle and more or less just gently opening a door for the audience to see inside Van's life for a little bit. While the ending gives the impression that things are going to change for the better, I feel if they spent just a little more time on showing what happens after it would've given a bit more closure. Not your average coming of age story. See more 04/21/2010 Strong acting and taut direction almost spark the kind of tragic romanticism that recalls James Dean, but in its floundering ending Floating can barely keep its head above water. See more 02/10/2010 Well acted but a little on the depressing side. Very believably presented though, and the performances were very real and believable. Good screenplay. The characters had real depth. Fine score, good pacing. It works. See more Read all reviews
