Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Finally found it. I'd seen the smoking crack/waking up on the sidewalk part 10 years or so ago but never knew what movie it was. Just happened to stumble across it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member This super-low budget film has been one of my favorite films for years. Re-watched it the other night, and it still has the same charm, and resonance it did when I first saw it 10 years ago. James LeGros makes, and carries this film. All of the other actors are barely cameos (be warned). Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Unusual, thoughtful and at times surreal soul searching in LA shortly after the Rodney King beating/rioting/looting madness; great supporting cast and soundtrack Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Peter Rainer Los Angeles Times All-too-aptly named. Rated: 1.5/5 Aug 26, 2013 Full Review Jonathan Rosenbaum Chicago Reader This first feature by independent producer Peter McCarthy is fairly lightweight, but the cast and low-rent production credits have a certain charm. Aug 26, 2013 Full Review Leonard Klady Variety While the disjointed tale of contemporary alienation doesn't always connect the dots, it has a raw energy and sense of fun that's infectious. Mar 26, 2009 Full Review TV Guide Yet another quirky independent comedy about a disenfranchised white male urban slacker, Floundering is distinguished mainly by its left-leaning politics and numerous cameos by boho thespians and alternative rockers.
