100% 13 Reviews Tomatometer 95% 500+ Ratings Audience Score Taylor Swift, Aaron Dessner (The National), Jack Antonoff (Bleachers) and Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) created an album that crossed genres -- a musical journey that allows us to cry and laugh, and during these trying times, makes us feel like we're not quite so alone. They recorded "folklore" thousands of miles apart from each other and had never been in the same room together... until now. "folklore: the long pond studio sessions" was filmed in upstate New York in September 2020 and will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on Wednesday, November 25, at 12:01AM PT. Taylor, accompanied by co-producers Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff along with a guest appearance by Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), performs each song in order of her critically adored, five star album, "folklore" and for the very first time, reveals the stories and secrets behind all 17 songs. Alec B Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions offers an intimate glimpse into the making of Taylor Swift's critically acclaimed album that helped us all get through COVID in its early days. Very stripped down and somber, this documentary gave an inside look at the story and creative process behind each song with commentary by collaborators Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff. Intimate with dazzling acoustics, this film offers an equal but polar opposite Swiftie experience to the Eras Tour film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/23/24 Full Review Dallas H I watched this because it was available on Disney Plus. Also, a co-worker of mine is a Swiftie, so I'm a proxy fan. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/24 Full Review Iris A I never knew how these songs were recorded they got me threw the pandemic without breaking down and having something to look forward to Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/24 Full Review Nishtha S Folklore is one of my fav Taylor Swift album!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/24 Full Review Phoebe R The Long Pond Session described exactly how folklore feels like Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/11/23 Full Review Ana Clara T 1 word: GENIUS I'm completely speechless. How can a person be so talented??? Maybe I'm like this because it's only been 3 months since I dove headfirst into "Taylor's world", when I started listening to all of her albums and trying to find out more about what's behind each one of them. I was shocked by the context in which this album emerged, in the middle of a pandemic, with everyone at home, including her team. The compositions are incredible, very well structured and with melodies that will leave anyone over the moon. Goosebumps from start to finish Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Ryan Lattanzio indieWire This is a sweet and soothing kickback for what is, for many out there, an otherwise lonely and isolating holiday season. Rated: B- Dec 1, 2020 Full Review Ed Potton Times (UK) The often exquisite music is interspersed with alfresco chats with her co-writers and performers Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner at Dessner's telegenic studio in upstate New York. Rated: 4/5 Nov 29, 2020 Full Review Andrew Barker Variety With this film, she just does the two things she does best: making excellent music, and giving people a new reason to talk about Taylor Swift. But at least she's made sure that this time we're talking about her for all the right reasons.
