It’s directed by the South African film-maker Henk Pretorius with the earnestness of someone delivering a docudrama about cancer research or the global refugee crisis, instead of a movie about a magical youth brew.

It feels like Pretorius took a few lumps as director, throwing this whole mad mess together. It is a bit rough and ready, but it makes good use of a really excellent cast.

Watched the movie 'Forever Young' last night. Had me gripped from the outset. Thought provoking and some wonderful performances from the cast. I fell in love with Bernard Hill. He was perfect in role and made the story somehow believable. A must see movie.
