Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online Friends With Money isn't an action film, it has no real surprises, and generally has a very subtle plot. But what it does has is heart. Rated: B+ Sep 12, 2017 Full Review David Ansen Newsweek This delicious, seriocomic tale of four friends in affluent, liberal, west L.A. grappling with midlife crises, metrosexual spouses and household remodeling takes on an avoided subject: money, and how it affects our relationships. Nov 1, 2007 Full Review Andrew O'Hehir Salon.com This is a dense and sophisticated work about mortality, materialism, madness, jealousy and pity a movie in which the fabulous duds are ripped off the "Sex and the City" gals and they're left teetering on the edge of the abyss... Oct 7, 2006 Full Review David Walsh World Socialist Web Site The film is constructed out of the notion that these small moments constitute life. ... But it is not a terribly interesting life, and it seems rather myopic of Holofcener to imagine that we will be fascinated by it. Feb 14, 2021 Full Review Tara Thorne The Coast (Halifax, Nova Scotia) Nicole Holofcener is a humanist. When people say, "It's a movie about real life," they're talking about movies like hers. Jul 11, 2016 Full Review Film4 Staff Film4 Boasting generous performances from each player, this is a film that understands the foibles of human nature. Mar 12, 2010 Full Review Read all reviews

Fil S Not good obviously. But not so bad. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/23/25 Full Review Blu B Ummm yeah.....It ain't good. There's like not even a climax it feels like in this. The 4 storylines just kind of end after they realize they are lucky to be rich I guess. The music is very forgettable and nothing special. Everything else isn't that good. This is an all star cast of actresses (save Aniston) and they are given the most stupid pretentious Democrat voting, english Degree, soccer mom characters that are also at the same time so cookie cutter feeling it's ridiculous. This looks really low budget, uninspired direction, with nothing memorable about it. The editing is so jumpy also just cutting between the 4 women and their husbands. Stuff just happens and it just kind of ends. this perpetuates this meandering privilage the entire way with no charm, buildup, and this mild boringness the entire way. This could easily be a comedy like a Stepford Wife kind of thing but no this is 100% serious the entire way. I think in all seriousness it's trying to do like a Robert Altman multiple storyline commentary on White Upper Income Class but just can't figure out a good way to do it without making the characters come off as stuck up ditzy unlikeable Karens. Skip This. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/08/25 Full Review Meghan K All of the friends are rich, except for Jennifer Aniston. Her friends seem to constantly pity her and look down on her for being a maid and smoking weed. Jennifer Anistons character lets EVERYONE treat her terribly and seems to have really low self confidence. Then the movie tries to show that her friends with money have problems too. However, their "problems" are laughable. I.e. Frances throwing a fit about washing her hair? With a strong cast, I really thought this movie would be a lot better but it seemed like a TV pilot with a weak story line. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/12/25 Full Review Michael S A cute film with great acting. Maybe nothing exciting happens, but it is an enjoyable watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/02/25 Full Review Geke g Miracle writing and did want they want Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/11/24 Full Review Munkhchimeg T Highly criticized the money and the relationship. But very light to see the movie. Liked very much Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/11/24 Full Review Read all reviews
