Wendy Ide Times (UK) There's just not enough going on in this photogenic wisp of a film to give the audience much to care about. Rated: 2/5 May 7, 2015 Full Review Leslie Felperin Guardian An immensely likable movie, impeccably acted and wise about the nature of exile. Rated: 4/5 May 7, 2015 Full Review Trevor Johnston Time Out Exquisitely lovely, confoundingly dreary. Rated: 2/5 May 5, 2015 Full Review Brandon Judell CultureCatch The film doesn't hold together due to a splintered, dissatisfying dramatic arc. . . Some out-of-character behavior is never explained, and what could have been an aesthetic Valentine to a grand besottedness eventually dissolves into a spiceless churrasco. Aug 14, 2022 Full Review Alexander Ryll Gay Essential Employing outstanding cinematography throughout the film, director Karim Ainouz's background in visual arts is revealed to the audience. Artistic shooting and intelligent dialogue between talented actors Moura and Schick leads to a gripping story. Rated: 4/5 Sep 15, 2019 Full Review Patrick Gamble CineVue A tactile and deeply personal account of sexual identity and the longing to belong. Rated: 3/5 Apr 5, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A Brazilian lifeguard rescues a globetrotting biker, quickly develops a crush on him and ends up moving to Germany with him, only to find his little brother looking for him in Berlin several years later. There's much more to this story of course, and we get to witness it in flashes of experiences and scenic shots, without much verbal things happening but more focused on showing raw feelings and what those feelings make you do... making the characters passionate beings but difficult for us (the audience) to connect with... so you'll have lots of eyecandy to behold but will be forced to put two and two together yourself several times. The fact the 2 lead characters happen to be gay is really a very small aspect to this story. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member lindo, mas o que tem de lindo, eh cansativo, parado! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member It's too artistic for me and not that character driven. It looked beautful but not what I wanted it to be. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Hard to follow at times but enjoyed it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Cinematography excellent. The story not. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member First hour fine. Second hour excruciatingly slow. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
