An, at the time, interesting take on the U.S. (domestic) oil & gas strategy. Unfortunately, the documentary didn't age well and seems very outdated looking at it from the 2020s.
Furthermore, while trying to cover a wide area of topics, it doesn't cover any topic particularly well: It is a wild mix of topics - domestic versus international production, corrupt politicians, "the end is near" theories, monopolies in the past, technological improvements, greedy fully-integrated oil companies (without explaining the differences to either upstream- or downstream-focused companies).
Overall a good documentary to pass the time, but nothing more.

Just happen to stumble upon this on tv late at night last week. Was very good. Now it's time to get a alternative fuel car.

If 90% of this film is true, I'm terrified.

We all know how greedy oil companies are, but maybe not exactly how it works. PLEASE watch this documentary. It definitely confirmed the greed for me ....
