What was supposedly meant to be based upon Tatsunoko Production's Science Ninja Team Gatchaman turned in to a rather disasterous adaption. Despite some decent action sequences, the live action adaptation doesn't exactly quite soar with its muddled and underwhelming story, poorly developed characters that lacked charisma and some mediocre performances from its cast.

The longest hour and a half. Bad story, bad directing, bad suits...

They turned an excellent, although very aged anime into a bad Power Rangers Knock-off. The connection between this travesty and the original show is tenuous at best. The acting is pretty poor, and the CG is pretty lame.
All in all, skip this if you have any love for Gatchaman. On the other hand, if you want a bad Power Rangers Ripoff, go nuts!

It's bad, its really bad.
I saw this at Fantasia in Montreal, the first 15 minutes of the film started out strong with some really well directed action scenes that keep you on the edge of your seat.
But after that the film gets bogged down in way too much exposition for the next hour with a storyline thats rather silly and confusing. Along with a twist you can see coming form a mile away.
Its visually spectacular but the fact that you have to sit through most of the film bored out of your mind makes it one to avoid
