06/27/2012 An interesting true story on the injustice, oppression and inhumanity of the Soviet regime, dully told. Could have been a great indictment of the Soviet system but is fairly listless and conventional. Also, not a very well known part of history, so hard to feel engaged and will mean a lot more to Polish audiences. I found reading the Wikipedia item on General Fieldorf much more illuminating (and quicker!) than watching the movie. See more 01/13/2011 Tremendously good Polish filmmaking.
