Years ago, motorcycle stuntman Johnny Blaze sold his soul to save the life of a loved one. Now, he transforms into a fiery, avenging agent of justice at night wherever evil roams. Grand, empty gestures and loads of CGI effects can't cover up pure schlock. Even the character's iconically cool trademarks -- a flaming skull and a fiery chopper -- are reduced to Velveeta slices. No, damn you, sir.

Ghost Rider was released in theatres in 2007 and stars Nicholas Cage in the title role with Wes Bentley as the evil demon Blackheart and Sam Elliot as the old Ghost Rider. The story is a bit convoluted but as a fan of the comics basically Ghost Riders sell their souls for various reasons to the demon Mephistoles and in return gain incredible powers, but must serve their master. Elliot betrayed the demon and now Cage is the new Ghost Rider who must choose to fight the demons and save his soul or be forever cursed. For the time period the CGI was pretty good and Ghost Rider's character as a skeleton riding a motorcycle while whipping around a flaming chain was impressive, sometimes, other times not so much. Even though this was one of my favorite comics as a kid, the movie failed for me due to the acting - it was terrible. The script wasn't great for sure, most of the jokes fell flat, but everyone's acting in this movie was just awful. It's worth a watch if you're into superhero movies or Nicholas Cage over the top acting.

One of the few films i decided to interrupt watching, the story is poorly written, the villains feel like they came out of a school project, Cage's performance is just unberable and awkward to watch and the editing is just straight up garbage, it just felt like a waste of time.
