Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times [T]his is vital territory that will open less initiated viewers' eyes to the deep commitment and dramatic lengths it can take for many gay couples to become parents. Nov 17, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member I was not at all prepared for the emotional wallop that this documentary gave me. It's a beautifully rendered narrative of how two French men, married to each other, came to the U.S. to arrange to have a child through surrogacy--a practice bitterly outlawed in France. While the documentary gives ample time to those advocating against surrogacy, the documentary also shows how four people came together to create a child: the two married men, the woman who donated the egg, and the woman who carried the child. No one expected the powerful bonds that would be created among these four through bringing a beautiful child into this world. Well done . . . all the way around.
