Nine girls and their stories, and only one of them is really prevented from expressing herself. one more can say her piece anonymously, but she is awfully determined. so much hope amid the ridiculous statistics.

I don't really know if I should review this film because I only got to see about 2/3 of it and there were no subtitles and so much of it was lost to me. Despite this, though, there were certainly some powerful pieces to it.

Girl Rising is a beautifully crafted and moving filmography, although it often stereotypes the "developing world" on gender discrimination issues that are felt and conquered everywhere on earth.
