Audience Member A different kind of story, but then not all western stories were the same. I thought well acted between the main two characters even with the limited dialog. The body language, facial expressions and plain reactionary decisions were a lot to unpack. I found it very believable that a Wild West villain that was out on his own fending for himself lawlessly would start off with her the way he did, yet with the prevalent drinking problem had an erectile issue, totally makes sense to me. Finding her beauty and softness too much to not fall for is not hard to see me doing myself. While I see her having compassion for him and then finding endearing qualities in him, it is much more believable for me for the movie to end the way it did, with her being practical, than if she did some crazy thing like think that in the long run looking past his homicidal tendencies and the fact he kidnapped and attempted to rape her would work out for her and all would be happy ever after! Yuck! I give it four stars. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member A movie that lives up to it's title. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member I watched this soon after seeing "Gunless" the other quirky Western, that one with a very Canadian sense of humor. "Good for Nothing" is darker both in the number of characters who get shot and in the humor. The videography of the vast scenery is lush and spectacular, and there are a lot of scenery shots which is a very good thing. I assumed the director was in love with Montana where the story is supposed to take place, but it was shot entirely in New Zealand. Fooled me. If one is looking for character development....there is some. Whether that is enough for your tastes will vary! The acting of the main pair keeps one interested in the story. Whether the ending satisfies again will vary with the viewer. I say, just sit back and really enjoy all the gorgeous shots of the scenery and the buffoonery of the posse. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Frances H Really liked this movie! It was funny, touching and brutal, but the gradual relationship between the two main characters was very well developed, and I especially liked the end. Cohen Holloway and Inge Rademeyer were really good in their roles, although her English accent didn't sound very English. The scenery was spectacular, of course--New Zealand is known for that. In my opinion, this is a much better western than Unforgiven, which I thought was rather pointless. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/28/14 Full Review Audience Member great up to the ending. Sorely disappointed with the woman in the end. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Amusing western with a naughty and comedic twist.
