Jay Boyar Orlando Sentinel You're reminded of what it was like, as a child, to trust in wishing wells and, without thinking very much about it, switch from walking along to skipping. Apr 6, 2020 Full Review Gene Siskel Chicago Tribune A funny juvenile windup toy about kids in perilous, comic book situations. Rated: 3/4 Apr 6, 2020 Full Review Richard Corliss TIME Magazine The Goonies is as hip, sassy and innocent as its seven teenage heroes. Apr 6, 2020 Full Review Justin Brown Medium Popcorn To this day, I still quote this movie. It's hard not to love this movie. Rated: 5/5 Nov 28, 2024 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies This sassy and hyperactive romp can be a bit too loud and boisterous....But it’s hard not to respond to the heartfelt innocence and childlike charms that seep from nearly every pore of this beloved movie. Rated: 3.5/5 Jun 7, 2023 Full Review Wesley Lovell Cinema Sight “Goonies” is an entertaining film and has a cult following of teens from the ’80s, who remember the film well. Adults will enjoy watching it with their children, since it’s a more subdued family film than what comes out today. Rated: 3/4 Dec 25, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/25 Full Review Sarah N absolute 80s classic, needs to be seen Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/25 Full Review Jason C 80’s classic. Nothing but fun and adventure. Loved it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/25 Full Review Sean T I know I’ll lose my Gen X card for saying this, but I never enjoyed this movie like others of my age range did. It’s just kinda “ok”. The characters are memorable, but also not great, and the story was paint by the numbers, without much in the way of mental gymnastics with the narrative. I definitely don’t get the hero worship everyone has for it. It’s an ok movie that’s somewhat enjoyable to pass an afternoon watching. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/25 Full Review Read all reviews
