“Goonies” is an entertaining film and has a cult following of teens from the ’80s, who remember the film well. Adults will enjoy watching it with their children, since it’s a more subdued family film than what comes out today.

Watched The Goonies this year. This movie is a good movie if you are in the mood for an adventure. At its basic premise, a group of kids find a map to find a sacred treasure in their friend's attic while three criminals are trying to not get themselves back in jail. This movie really knew how to tell a story and had great acting. The kid actors were the perfect pick for this movie. It felt like they all knew each other before acting in this movie. Overall I would rate this movie 4.5 stars out of 5 stars. This was truly a classic I will remember. My favorite scene in this adventure classic is when Chunks is confessing everything juicy he can think of to the criminals. I would most certainly recommend this movie.

See this as a teenager back in the 80s and although I enjoyed it I never thought it was a classic at the time. The 80s were full of great films and any film at the time would find it hard to make a must see list from that decade! Enjoyable enough but don’t believe the hype!

I can understand why kids would like it, or adults who saw it as kids feeling nostalgic about it, but it's just a dumb movie, filled with bad acting, bad directing, stupid dialogue, and a ridiculous plot.
