Christy Lemire RogerEbert.com Shrill, frantic, and hideous to look at, “Gracie & Pedro: Pets to the Rescue” isn’t just one of the worst animated movies of the year—it’s one of the worst movies of the year, period. Rated: 0/4 Oct 18, 2024 Full Review Catherine Bray Guardian The cheap-looking CGI animation has zero allure, with by-the-numbers character design contributing to the overall feeling that this lacklustre film was made almost entirely in order to prise money from the fingers of tired parents. Rated: 1/5 Aug 7, 2024 Full Review Peter Sobczynski Auteurist Class (Substack) Even on a visual level, it fails to entertain with its utterly generic animation and character design, all of which suggests the output of an AI system in dire need of debugging. Oct 18, 2024 Full Review Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion A by-the-numbers family-oriented animated movie in which the numbers don’t add up to much. Rated: C- Oct 17, 2024 Full Review Kat Halstead Common Sense Media There are sweet messages throughout about family, friendship, and loyalty, though while animal adventures can't help but be cute, the story is pretty simplistic and there's little in terms of layers for adults or older kids to enjoy. Oct 16, 2024 Full Review Mike McGranaghan Aisle Seat If you have a child who isn’t quite ready for the more complex animated features, here’s one you can satisfyingly see together. Trey J Fun but drug out. Good message about family overall. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/02/24 Full Review Susan Some cute parts...kids enjoyed it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/20/24 Full Review moviewatch Thought because it was PG instead of G it was more mature...it was basically Paw Patrol. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/19/24 Full Review Rachel I totally enjoyed it....deaf child in the family...loved it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/19/24 Full Review Jackie I love the message of working together for the children when they were looking for their pets and also the pets working together to save the kids and reunite with their family. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/19/24 Full Review PanicMose M Lots to unpack with this one. Very petty pets. The airline would never allow 2 animals to share a cage. And with the entire sorting machine belts being destroyed, how are they the only ones at customer service/lost luggage??? And what kind of parents let their children speak to another adult like that?? Perhaps if the ferret detective would have called them by name, and said they were from the airline, they wouldn't have run. There's caviar, sushi, salmon on the table and they get into a fight over a cocktail weenie. Can Sarandon possibly sink any lower? After the last time she showed up looking like a homeless woman, screaming extremist chants into her megaphone, I thought she'd have left the country, along with deniro and the other celebrities who claimed they'd leave. But they didn't last time either, so. . At the hotel, gravity doesn't work like that. You fall straight down, not 60 feet out from the ledge into a pool. The viral music video doesn't even have a PICTURE of the missing pets! How are people supposed to help find them??! Duh What about the poor owners of the wallaby, missing THEIR pet?? You can't keep the wrong pet they accidentally sent you. It doesn't belong to you. Alicia Silverstone was in it for a grand total of 2 minutes as the snake. Her voice was auto-tuned/computer enhanced so badly, you couldn't tell who voiced it. And Pedro should have died after being bit by a 2headed rattlesnake! Conrad was a nasty piece of work. I'll leave it at that. This is just SOME of the sloppiness during this film. There's much more, but I would give it a pass! Don't waste your time.
