The music, the performances, the precision in capturing the post-college malaise -- The Graduate's coming-of-age story is indeed one for the ages.

Chill B What on earth did I just watch? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/17/24 Full Review Joseph Z This was my third time watching this movie, but it still has the same effect. The themes are timeless, and scarily relatable to those in early adulthood. The director uses many effective techniques to make the entire film very uncomfortable. The final shot on the bus is one of my favorite shots in any film I've ever seen. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/24 Full Review Riyaan F Very iconic and love the shots of the show and cuts Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/26/24 Full Review Emily O The movie really did a good job with the scenes audio and everything else. I enjoyed how they added music in the background and all the transitions with the music. The story plot I think was really good because it's showing you how some people want you to be something else than what you want to be. The scenes where Ben would be driving were portrayed really good Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/24 Full Review Brooke K It was cool to see how much thought was put into how the movie was filmed as well as how transitions could be made more uniquely. Still, I felt as though the movie moved too slowly which made it hard to stay engaged at times. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review NW The Graduate was an interesting film to say the least. What stood out to me was the soundtrack, I found it to be a key strength of the film. It was cool to see this film refer to the counterculture movement that occurred in the US in the 1960s. While The Graduate, by 2024 movie standards is not visually stunning, it has to have been remarkable when compared to other films from the 60s. Through the soundtrack, clever use of montages and transitions, I can say that this film has partially withstood the passage of time. I would not choose to watch this film again, but a curiosity satisfied for sure. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/23/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Myles Standish St. Louis Post-Dispatch A brilliant and funny satire on the affluent, materialistic society. May 1, 2024 Full Review Jacob Brackman New Yorker The Graduate engages its audience almost exclusively at the level of events until the grandly satisfying conclusion, when its problems (Benjamin's problems) seem to arrive at a happy solution. Jun 23, 2023 Full Review Victoria Luxford BBC.com Something that any lover of American Cinema should see. Rated: 5/5 Jun 6, 2022 Full Review Zita Short InSession Film You really can’t miss Bancroft’s iconic performance, but I wouldn’t blame anybody for feeling a bit disappointed by the film itself. The years have not been kind to it and it now seems shallow and overly calculated. Feb 1, 2023 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies It may not be the most tight-knit script and some key character relationships are underwritten. But anchored by some stellar performances and a great soundtrack, it’s still a lot of fun. Rated: 4/5 Aug 21, 2022 Full Review Dilys Powell Sunday Times (UK) I suggest that you see The Graduate for fun, and the hell with the next American cinema coming of age.
