      J. R. Jones Chicago Reader Without the sound track no one would give this the time of day, but the songs showcase Young’s band, Crazy Horse, in all its ragged glory. Jun 29, 2022 Full Review Owen Gleiberman Entertainment Weekly Rated: C- Sep 7, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Fascinating, primitive musical from Neil Young and his concept album Greendale. It's a bit thin at times, but when it works it's very beautiful and even inspiring. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Perhaps to a true musician, this is brilliant but I didn't enjoy Neil Young's effort here. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member wacky-witty, eclectically brilliant :) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I quite like Greendale, but is the album worthy of a spin-off film AND a spin-off graphic novel? I don't think so. This film is an interesting curiosity piece if you're a big fan of Neil Young, but I'm REALLY into his music and REALLY into films, and I still found this a bit of a struggle. The film was actually pretty much how I pictured it would be from the numerous times I've previously listened to the album, but the visuals to the lyrics were so much like how I imagined that it makes me wonder if there was really any point in making this film. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member FANTASTIC FOR ANY REAL MUSIC LOVER! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Neil Young's great story of Sun Green, eco-terrorist... Great political undertones, awesome music. Give it a shot.
